Full Service Fly Fishing Guide In The Texas Hill Country

November – May

Kenter Guide Service offers full service fly fishing guided trips and instruction sessions to the beginner and experienced angler alike.  Whether you are looking for a full day float trip down one of our beautiful Texas Hill Country rivers or just half day of instruction to get you started or brush up your skills, I can custom tailor a fishing trip or instructional session to suit your needs and skill level.

I offer full day, 3/4 day and half day float trips on the Colorado River below Austin, the Guadalupe River below Canyon Lake dam, and the San Marcos River below San Marcos. I also offer full and half day walk-wade trips on the Guadalupe River when the flows permit safe wading conditions. Late Fall through Spring is prime season for Rainbow Trout on the Guadalupe tailrace; while warmer weather brings out the Bass and Sunfish. The Texas Hill Country offers the angler excellent opportunities to catch Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Guadalupe Bass, Rio Grande Cichlid, Sunfish as well as Rainbow Trout!

Trout season is here!

After a long and dry summer, water in the Guadalupe has cooled down and the fish are actively feeding. Annual stockings have began and we have a surprising number of holdover fish in the river. This winter promises to be great for trout fishing on the Guadalupe!
